Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data Zenova LifeScore ("Zenova", "we", "us") collects when you use the app, why we collect it, and who it's shared with. Zenova is a health and fitness tracking app — we collect the data needed to calculate your LifeScore and power the app's features, and nothing beyond that.

When you create an account and use the app, you provide: your email address (or Apple ID, if you sign in with Apple), profile details you enter during onboarding (age, height, weight, gender, activity level, goals), and the data you log — meals, workouts, weight entries, mood/energy/stress check-ins, and messages you send to the AI coach.

If you choose to connect Apple Health (iOS) or Health Connect (Android), Zenova reads your steps, sleep, weight, and workout data to fill in your LifeScore automatically. This connection is read-only — Zenova never writes data back to Apple Health or Health Connect. You can disconnect at any time from Profile settings, which stops future syncing; previously imported entries remain in your Zenova account unless you delete them.

When you use the food photo scanner, the image is sent to our server to be analyzed and is not stored after analysis completes. The nutrition estimate returned (name, calories, macros) is saved to your food log; the original photo is not retained by Zenova.

Zenova relies on a small number of service providers to operate:

• Supabase — hosts our database and handles account authentication. Your profile, logs, and account credentials are stored here, protected by row-level access policies so only you can read your own data.
• xAI (Grok)— powers the AI coach and food photo analysis. Messages you send to the coach and photos you submit for scanning are sent to xAI's API to generate a response; xAI processes this data to return the result and does not receive your account identity.
• RevenueCat — manages subscription purchases and entitlements. Purchase events (not payment details, which are handled by Apple/Google) are shared with RevenueCat to activate Pro features.
• PostHog — collects anonymized product analytics (e.g. which screens are used) to help us improve the app. This does not include your health data or AI conversations.
• USDA FoodData Central & ExerciseDB — public nutrition and exercise reference databases we query to power food search and workout demos. No personal data is sent to these services beyond the search term you enter.

We don't sell your personal data. We don't share your health data with advertisers. We don't write anything back to Apple Health or Health Connect.

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from Profile → Delete Account, or via the web form on our Delete Account page. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.

Zenova is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
